Ruby III - R.I.P. 7-1-10

***7/1/10: Ruby had the surgery a few days ago and we thought she was doing better. She suddenly passed away today around 8pm. It was very quick and unexpected, thankfully she was not in any pain. Rest In Peace my lovey Ruby!

This is my mom's other dog, Ruby! She is a very happy 13 year old Red Tri, Australian Shepherd. She was diagnosed with Diabetes about a year ago and has to have insulin shots daily. Recently she has become very sick and my mom found out that due to her old age she has a paralyzed larynx. We are doing our best to help her eat and hoping that she her breathing doesn't become to labored. There is a surgery that can be performed and it is an option for sure. The vets could not give us any kind of time frame as to how much longer she has.
