Deirdre is already 5 months old and still growing. She really looks up to her best friend and brother, Marley. She follows him around and watches him all the time. Marley looks so proud in her eye. Black & White Version: [link] Pure Adoration: [link] Eye Spy: [link]
Ignoring the reflection in the eye - which is really the jewel of the picture - this is a great macro shot, and the simple shape of the face expresses a number of things: Love and cuddliness, but also a hint of depression.
Factoring in the reflection (which is a great touch and must have been very hard to capture) adds a bit of story to the piece and raises some questions. Is the white dog, who appears so proud, strong, young, and virile, a new addition to the family? Does the older dog feel worn down or left out?
From a phoptography standpoint, this is a beautifully framed piece, although the depth of focus could in my opinion be just a little deeper, catching a bit more of the muzzle in a bit sharper focus. Although, an argument can me made either way; leaving the white hairs in a softer focus adds a bit of age and weariness to what I'm sure is a very happy and very well-loved pooch.

All around, great job!
